HOC was established in 1955 in a prime location on the revitalized downtown Main Street in Hawkesbury. The clinic boasts ample free parking at the rear entrance and is conveniently located within walking distance of medical, physiotherapy, health food stores, banks, and cultural attractions.

A Spacious and Versatile Work Environment:
– Our 3400 square foot ground floor location offers ample space for future growth and expansion of specialty services. The main entrance faces a large sidewalk and a two-way Main Street, providing easy access to parking from either side of the building.
Effective Communication and Organization:
– Our team emphasizes communication and organization to streamline processes and enhance patient care. We utilize VisualEyes software with a patient communication package to optimize recall rates and streamline communication. – Anne Chong, CEO, is a well-respected professional with a keen understanding of the evolving needs of practices.
Specialty Areas and Technology:
– OrthoK Myopia Control: Utilize the Heidelberg Anterion to fit OrthoK lenses, along with other myopia control strategies. Topography and axial length measurements can be obtained with ease.
– Keratoconus Screening: Screen for keratoconus in children and teenagers, and provide comprehensive evaluations for seniors with narrow-angle glaucoma. Cataract assessments and medical glaucoma follow-ups can be performed with collaboration with Care1.ca’s Glaucoma Subspecialty.
– Since 2011, I have been an early adopter of the Heidelberg OCT (generation 1) with a substantial database. I am a dedicated Glaucoma patient and have been instrumental in introducing our second Heidelberg OCT, which incorporates OCTa, a colour OCT for more detailed structure evaluation, and a powerful sharing platform with the Heyex 2 release, exclusively from Heidelberg.
– My retina services include follow-up examinations using Heidelberg Software, which includes OCTa and Bluepeak, which can be shared through the Care1.ca retina platform in collaboration with the Ottawa Retina Center.
– In addition, we have recently acquired a new Optomap RGB for next-generation scans, strategically located in a second pretest room, alongside the Heidelberg Anterion, enabling efficient baseline acquisition.
– We have also established a third pretest room equipped with an OCT (generation 2) and an Octopus 600 field, providing flexibility for drivers or wide-field requirements in any room.
– Furthermore, we have incorporated photo slit lamps for efficient diagnosis of dry eye, as recommended by Dr. Karpecki.
– For patients seeking treatment for dry eye, we have designated a room equipped with an IPL and RF device.
Work Schedule:
– We offer flexible work weeks for full-time and part-time employees. Even with part-time hours, you can expect to earn a six-figure salary. Weekends are not scheduled.
Remuneration:
– Full schedule for either full or part time work.
– Current associate is in the 6 figures working only 2 days a week.
