I am a 2008 UW grad who has practiced out west for the first 11 years of my career. I moved (back) to Ontario in January of 2020 to begin my practice here alongside The Optical Market. As an independent contractor, together we provide an established, full scope optometric practice/dispensary and lab in a quickly growing community that still has a lot of that small town feel. Our office is outfitted with some of the latest in diagnostic equipment (Optos Monaco with OCT, Octopus 900 VFs, AR/AK/Tonometer/Pach, Corneal Topography). We offer a great opportunity for a full or part-time optometrist as we are expanding with our community. A new exam lane is being built for this purpose for which we will consider input from a new OD providing ample opportunity for professional growth. Experienced or new ODs are welcome to enjoy well-trained staff and quality-enhancing technology. Remuneration is generous – No weekends! We would like someone who’s proud of helping patients of all ages and demographics see the best they can see and be thrilled about their new look!

Within our full scope of practice, current specialties include scleral lens fittings – we are eager to facilitate other areas of specialty for the right candidate. Our on-site lab has not just edged, but manufactured lenses for 52 years for doctors in Canada. Start date could be as early as March of 2025 with some flexibility, of course.
